Description

3km Husky cart ride and Husky Ranch Visit. Drinks and sweets included in our laavu hut at the end of the visit.

Welcome to our home, a hundred years old homestead in a small village of Kurtakko and meet our pack of energetic and lovable Alaskan huskies and learn about their everyday life all year round.

First we will take the dogs out for a little run with the carts. The guide is driving and you can sit down and enjoy the ride while the dogs are doing what they love. After the 3 km ride we can unharness the dogs and let them run free in the dog yard and get to know them better and cuddle with them. Our dogs are very social, energetic and affectionate. During the visit we can get to know the working aged dogs, the retired senior dogs and the young dogs/puppies.

What does a sled dog do all year round?

What happens in a long distance sled dog race and how do you prepare for them?

What kind of gear do you need for longer sled dog expeditions in the arctic temps?

You'll get answers to these and many other questions about sled dogs and working with them. Welcome to visit our cozy family owned Alaskan husky kennel and meet our energetic and lovable dogs.

This tour suites best for over 6 year old children and adults. Group size 2-6 persons.

At the end of the tour we will enjoy drinks and sweets in our laavu hut by the dog yard.
