These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made directly with Husky Ranch Lapland. By making a reservation, the person completing the booking confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of their party.
Confirmation of Reservation
Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee has been paid,
and you have confirmed that you have read, understood and shared the terms and conditions with your travel companions.
Participant Responsibility
Your safety and the wellbeing of our dogs are very important to us.
Before the safari begins, all participants will receive clear and thorough instructions on
how to drive the sled safely and how to handle the dogs with care and respect.
By taking part in the husky safari, you understand that participation is at your own responsibility.
During the ride, each participant is responsible for their own actions and for driving in a way
that keeps both themselves and the dogs safe.
This includes following all instructions, controlling speed when needed,
and treating the dogs calmly and respectfully at all times.
When the guidance is followed, the husky team remains comfortable
and the experience is safe and enjoyable.
Please note that husky safaris take place in a natural outdoor environment.
Our guides are always present to support you and to help ensure
the activity runs as safely and smoothly as possible.
Insurance Requirement
All participants must ensure they have valid personal insurance covering accidents and health-related issues.
Pohjolan Huskies is not responsible for any injuries, health problems,
or accidents that may occur during the activity.
We recommend you to have a cancellation insurance, liability insurance, comprehensive travel insurance,
as well as an insurance for personal belongings and health.
Health and Physical Requirements
Husky safaris require good basic fitness and balance. All participants must:
– Be able to control their body and follow instructions
– Understand the nature of the activity and behave safely around animals
– Treat the dogs with respect at all times
– There is a weight limit of 110 kg per person. If this limit is exceeded,
it must be informed in advance so we can arrange a suitable dog team.
If any participant has health conditions, injuries, mobility issues, or neuropsychiatric challenges that may impact safety or communication, this must be reported at least 24 hours before the activity.
If this information is not provided in time, we cannot guarantee participation,
and no refund will be issued if cancellation occurs on-site for safety reasons.
Weather Impact
Our safaris are subject to weather and trail conditions.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a safari in the event of poor weather or unsafe conditions.
In such cases, we will offer a new time or a replacement activity will be offered instead.
In extremely cold conditions (below -32°C),
especially when children are involved, we may change the activity to a husky walk or kennel visit.
You will only be charged for the activity that takes place.
Animal Wellfare
The well-being, safety, and happiness of our dogs are at the heart of everything we do.
We kindly ask all participants to treat the dogs with care, patience, and respect at all times,
helping us create a safe and positive experience for everyone.
For the safety of both people and animals,
we reserve the right to intervene if a participant behaves in a way that is harmful, disrespectful,
or unsafe toward the dogs or others.
This includes any actions that may cause injury, stress, or unnecessary risk.
In such cases, Husky Ranch Lapland reserves the right to immediately end the participant’s involvement in the activity and ask them to leave the area. Participation will be terminated without refund.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us protect the wellbeing of our dogs.
