Experience a day as a musher! On this ‘hands on’ tour you get to harness your own team of well-trained Alaskan huskies and drive (approx. 35-45km) through the snowy landscape. Incl. campfire lunch in a private hut. Organized in small groups of max 5 persons.

When you come to Husky Ranch Lapland you will be greeted by your guide and you will get high quality thermal clothing.
After driving instructions you are ready to meet your team of well-trained Alaskan huskies! You will follow the guide one after another, you are all driving your own sleds pulled by 4 dogs. The trail heads first south of the Kurtakko village, you take a peek at Europe's biggest wetland Teuravuoma nature reserve and then you start heading east to old taiga forests.
At the halfway point it's time to take a good break. The dogs get their halfway price first - frozen meet snacks! After this you will be served delicious lunch by an open fire in our own wilderness hut!
When the break is over its time to head back to the kennel along a scenic route. After the safari you will also have time to cuddle and say goodbye to your lovable team mates!
Who is this tour for?
This tour is suitable for active people aged 15–65 who enjoy being outdoors and working with dogs. Everyone drives their own sled and is responsible for their own team of huskies.
Driving a sled requires good basic fitness, balance, and the ability to actively work with the dogs. If you have any health conditions or concerns, please consult us before booking.
Thermal clothing is available in sizes XS–XXL.
The tour lasts approximately 6–7 hours and is always organized in a small group of maximum 5 people, or as a private tour.

To drive the sled you need to be in good basic fit and have good body balance.
